Stuart Afternoon – piano four-hands

Stuart Afternoon (11/3/15) for piano four hands – 3’40”.  As the title implies, this work was inspired by a fall concert in Stuart, Florida.  The Duo Gastesi-Bezzera performed, and the setting took place by the St. Lucie River and was relaxed and beautiful.    The piece was designed to reflect the energy of the pianists against the tranquility of the landscape.  It is in a simple ternary form, ABA.  The A sections are in a faster tempo, with a thicker texture and strong syncopations.  The B section is slower, thinner and more lyrical.

Moderately Difficult
