Sonata for Oboe and Harpsichord or Oboe and Piano

Sonata for oboe and harpsichord (2011) or for oboe and piano (2012) – Duration: 11’50”.  The sonata is in three movements.  “Contrasts” pits a lyrical oboe against rapid motion from the keyboard.  “Interlude” is a chromatic slow movement that is dramatic and forceful.  “Dialogue” creates an interplay of three ideas performed by the oboe and either hand of the keyboard player.  Its fast pace and rhythmic energy create a fitting finale.

When you buy music on this site, you are purchasing a PDF from which to make your own copies.  While I would love to have my works widely distributed, I trust that you will make copies only for yourself and the group you represent.  Thanks.
