Sonata for Bassoon and Piano
December 13, 2018
Sonata for Bassoon and Piano (1/31/17) – 12’30”. The sonata is in three movements. The opening movement is fast. It expresses a wholesome, self-confident nature. The slow movement is somber. It is highlighted by a bassoon cadenza in its middle. The finale takes the drama of the second movement and puts a positive spin on it. Passion builds in the slower middle section.
