Quem Genuit Maria – Christmas song cycle for soprano and string quartet

Quem Genuit Maria – This is a tribute to the Renaissance composers Palestrina and Victoria using Latin Christmas texts. The four settings are for soprano and string quartet.  “Resonet in laudibus” is a song of praise for the birth of Christ.  “O magnum mysterium” tells of the mystery that animals should observe the birth of Christ.  “Quem vidistis pastores?” asks the shepherds what they saw at Christ’s birth.  “Dies sanctificatus” declares this holy day as one of praise.

Difficult – Soprano part has very high tessitura.

When you buy music on this site, you are purchasing a PDF from which to make your own copies.  While I would love to have my works widely distributed, I trust that you will make copies only for yourself and the group you represent.  Thanks.
