Piano Sonata No. 1
October 16, 2018
Sonata No. 1 (6/16/16) – 17’50”. The sonata is in four movements. The first is virtuosic and tuneful, characterized by driving rhythms and relentless energy. The second is a lyric slow movement, full of melancholy harmonies and melodic arabesques. The third movement is a dance with changing meters and a dreamy elegance. The finale returns to the energy and drive of the opening movement.
